Janet Crawford, M.A.

Janet Crawford, M.A., is the Principal of Crawford Consulting and a Senior Leadership Coach for Mariposa Leadership, Inc. Janet brings a decade of expertise as a coach and trainer in the areas of leadership, interpersonal and organization effectiveness, gender, neuroscience, non-verbal communication and intercultural communication. She supports managers and executives in strengthening their leadership presence and developing the relationships, collaboration, trust-building behaviors and visionary thinking that produce results. As a former scientist and leader of technical professionals, Janet is familiar first hand with the challenges of leading teams in scientific environments. Janet's recent client list includes Abbott Vascular, BD Biosciences, Biomarin, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, Intel, National Semiconductor, Network Appliance, Ricoh Silicon Valley, Scios Inc. ( J&J subsidiary), Sun Microsystems, and Wells Fargo. Other clients include Adaptec, Netscape, and Stanford University. She is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese, and has lived/worked in Madrid. Janet holds a BA and MA from UC Berkeley and Stanford, respectively.
